This may be news to some but the traditional Greek cuisine is actually a VERY Vegan cuisine!

This is based on many different factors, firstly people could not afford livestock and whoever could only ate meat during festive periods, no more than 3 times a year! Secondly the Greek terrain is full of plants and seasonal vegetables, so we always had these naturally available and last but not least, the most yummy, tasty full of flavour dishes are actually vegan dishes, like spanakopita, stuffed tomatoes and fava!
